We take privacy very seriously, that’s why I’ve created this privacy statement in order to show you our commitment to your privacy, and ours as well.
Then again, does the rest of the world take your privacy seriously? First, we believe there was Mr. Zuckerberg, who perhaps flippantly said that “privacy is dead.” (Actually, litereally he never said but it was interpreted by most media this way.) Then, there’s the whole sarcasm about sites being free, meaning that you are the product = your usage data.
Do you think, since the whole world knows about “PRISM”, that this makes any difference? They already know more about you than we’ll know in a hundred years.
Ok, so the people of the USA (and the rest of the world) are somewhat divided about this whole issue. We believe that there are crazy, destructive people out there, and a country must have the possibility to do something about it. The question is how. Is it ok to do all this surveillance on a massive scale and not tell your own people about it? Guess, we, all world citizens, will find out, since it concerns every human on this planet.
So here’s what happens in terms of information:
